TWO-TAIL
TRAILS

HE KEPT HIS HEAD. FOLLOW THE TRAIL.

Interactive adventures that drag you off the screen and into the wild. Four biomes rot and glitter in the dark — snowy ridge, rainforest hollow, river crossing, saltwater coast — and three strange guides the lab couldn't keep wait at the trailhead. One talks. One can't. One makes the ground remember. Choose who walks beside you, and the trail bends to match.

██ THE TRAIL LOG

Open trails.

Every trail is a playable adventure that ends in the real world — a Trail Card you carry out into the dark. The log grows as the guides claw new routes open.

TRAIL WHISPER Every puddle is a tiny sky hiding under your boots.

██ YOUR TRAIL PASSPORT

Collect the stamps.

Finish a trail and its stamp is burned into your passport, right here. The stamps live in this browser — every walker carries their own scars.

██ FOUR LANDS, ONE TRAIL

The Biomes.

Each biome is a real kind of wild place rendered into a story you walk through. Read it right, and it lets you pass. Read it wrong, and it remembers you.

Snowy ridge at night: peaks, footprints, and something dragged across the snow
BIOME I — THE WHITE QUIET

The Snowy Ridge

Up here the world goes quiet and bright. Tracks appear fresh in the powder — a hare, a fox, something heavier that was dragged toward the pines. Read the snow before the wind erases the evidence, and the ridge will let you pass.

Rainforest hollow: vines, ferns, acid glints and red eyes in the dark
BIOME II — THE GREEN DEEP

The Rainforest Hollow

Wet, loud, alive. Water beads on every leaf and the canopy eats the light. Here the guides leave their marks — a bent fern, a stack of wet stones, a shimmer of acid-green where the trail turns. And two red points, deep in the dark, that are not marks at all. The forest is talking. Are you listening?

River crossing at night: stepping stones, two of them pale as bone
BIOME III — THE COLD RUN

The River Crossing

The water is always moving and never says the same thing twice. Skip the stones wrong and you're in up to your boots; read the current right and the far bank opens like a door. Two of the stepping stones are pale as bone. Don't ask. The coast is downstream. The Meduso is waiting there.

The coastal strand: acid tide pools, the salt line, and a tentacle out of the water
BIOME IV — THE SALT LINE

The Coastal Strand

Where the land runs out and the Meduso began again. Tide pools that glow faintly green where his acid dripped, sea caves that hum, a saltmarsh riddle only the water remembers. This is his ground — he crawled out of the sea here, and he'll talk you through every pool and current himself.

██ THE FORK IN THE TRAIL

Choose your guide.

Three guides walk these trails. One kept his head and voice. One kept his legs and silence. One grew too vast for the lab to hold. Listen, watch, or feel the ground — the adventure bends to match.

The Meduso — a huge crowned head with a white beard, one acid-green eye, and bionic tentacles weeping acid onto tide-pool rocks
KING BELOW · GUIDE ABOVE

The Meduso

KING OF THE SEA · WALKER OF COASTS · THE ONE WHO TALKS

He was put in the lab for a challenge that cut away every organ except his head. To keep the head alive they stapled it to what little was left and grafted on bionic tentacles that weep sulfuric acid — a bright green the world had never seen. He didn't like the life they kept him for. So he escaped, dissolving his way out through the pipes and vents, and fell into the sea.

Down in the water the medusae found him and mistook him for one of their own. They crowned him. He became the Meduso King — the Meduso Head — and now he hauls himself back onto the coastlines, beard full of salt, acid hissing on the rocks, to guide walkers through the trails by the sea.

Unlike Cut Short, the Meduso kept his head, and with it his voice. He talks. He'll name the tide pool, explain the current, tell you why the cave hums — and grin his gold tooth at you while the drool burns little green holes in the rock. His adventures stay low and coastal: saltwater, sea caves, marsh riddles. He walks you through every one of them himself.

Cut Short

WALKER OF PEAKS · THE ONE WHO CANNOT SPEAK

Cut Short came from the same lab. He wanted tails — so he stitched a fox tail and a pig tail onto his own hips and went into the experiment chasing the extra limbs he dreamed of. The experiment went wrong and took half his body instead. What survived was only his waist downward: two legs, two grafted tails, a stump of spine under a stapled leather cap, and no way to talk.

That's where his name comes from — cut short. No head, no mouth, no voice. The cut still seeps, and he still walks. Where the Meduso guides out loud, Cut Short guides in pure silence, an amber lantern swinging from his belt, dark drops marking the snow behind him. He can't tell you a thing. He just walks.

And yet he's the one who takes the high trails — ridgelines, scree fields, the thin air above the trees. You follow his two tails through the switchbacks, reading where he goes. He never explains. He only leads. Pick him when you want the wild to speak for itself.

Rose Ruin — a monumental pink elephant guide with torn-map ears, one amber eye, one mineral eye, and a compass shard curled in her trunk
THE GROUND REMEMBERS HER

Rose Ruin

KEEPER OF LOST PATHS · WALKER OF THE GREEN DEEP · THE ONE YOU FEEL COMING

The lab found a seam of pink stone beneath an abandoned quarry — stone that held the memory of every footstep across it. They carved it into an elephant because elephants do not forget, then fitted her vast ears with survey lines and set a compass crystal where one eye should be. They meant to make a living map.

Rose Ruin learned every corridor, locked door and buried escape before the lab understood what she could do. When they ordered her to map the Green Deep for them, she stamped once. The quarry walls remembered being open ground. They folded apart, and she walked out beneath the moon.

She rarely uses words. Instead, her feet send gentle rumbles through soil and stone. Pink waylights bloom wherever the safest path begins, and the torn lines across her ears glow when a turning matters. You do not follow Rose Ruin by sight or sound alone. You feel where the trail wants you to go.

██ ORIGIN STORY

One lab. Three ways out.

Three guides were changed by the same place. One dissolved his way out. One walked away in silence. One remembered an exit so enormous that the walls had to move. Here is how they found the trail.

The Lab — the shared wound

A challenge built to break them. One by one the lab cut away what it wanted and kept them alive only as much as it had to. The staples, the stitches, the acid — all of it was invoiced. All three guides were made here, and every guide escaped here. The lab is still looking for them. That is one more reason to keep moving on the trail.

The Meduso's path

MARK I

Only the head

His challenge cut away every organ except the head. To keep that head alive, the lab grafted on bionic tentacles — and they wept sulfuric acid, a bright green nothing had ever seen.

MARK II

Through the pipes

He didn't like the life they kept him for. He escaped — the acid ate the locks for him — and crawling out through the lab's pipes and vents, he fell into the sea.

MARK III

Crowned by the medusae

In the water the medusae mistook him for one of their own and crowned him. He became the Meduso King, the Meduso Head — and kept his voice.

MARK IV

Back to the coast

He climbs out of the sea onto the coastlines and guides walkers through the coastal trails — talking them through every tide pool and current himself.

Cut Short's path

MARK I

He wanted tails

In the same lab, Cut Short wanted tails — so he stitched a fox tail and a pig tail onto his own hips. He went into the experiment chasing the extra limbs he dreamed of.

MARK II

The cut that named him

The experiment went wrong and cut half his body away. What lived was only his waist downward. No head, no mouth, no voice — cut short.

MARK III

Two legs, two tails

He walks on two legs, the fox tail and pig tail still stitched on behind him, the cut capped with leather and staples. He cannot speak, and he never will.

MARK IV

The high trails

He took to the mountains — the ridgelines and the thin air — and guides walkers in pure silence, leading only with where his two tails go.

Rose Ruin's path

MARK I

The stone that remembered

Beneath a dead quarry, the lab found pink stone that remembered every footstep. They carved it into an elephant — a shape built never to forget.

MARK II

A map made alive

Survey lines were set into her ears, an amber lamp behind one eye and a compass crystal behind the other. She learned the lab's whole map in a single night.

MARK III

The walls remembered wrong

Rose Ruin stamped the quarry floor. The stone remembered the open land it had been before walls, and every locked corridor folded apart.

MARK IV

The Green Deep

She walked into the rainforest hollow, where roots carry her gentle rumbles for miles. Pink lights now wake beneath her feet to mark the safest way through.

██ THE ADVENTURE

How a Two-Tail Trail works.

1

Choose your guide

The Meduso talks through the coast. Cut Short leads the peaks in silence. Rose Ruin sends a map through the ground. The trail reshapes around your pick.

2

Enter a biome

Snowy ridge, rainforest hollow, river crossing, or the saltwater coast — each a real place rendered into a story you walk through.

3

Read the trail

Listen to the Meduso, watch Cut Short, or feel Rose Ruin's rumbling waylights. Either way, the wild is doing the talking.

4

Find the way

Solve what the biome puts in front of you and earn the next stretch of trail. Get it wrong, and the mountain gives you another way through. Usually.

The trail is open.

Screens can wait. The Meduso has surfaced at the coast, Cut Short is already climbing, and something enormous is making pink lights bloom beneath the rainforest. Pick a guide and step in.
